There is a certain nightclub in Shreveport, Louisiana which is famous for its chitlins and late night honky-tonks. A lesser-known fact about the place is that the building was once owned by then-president James Garfield, who received it as a gift from an unknown benefactor. Although Garfield was never able to make much out of the textile business he attempted to run there, his illegitimate daughter Roxanne went on to transform it into one of the most successful whorehouses in the Mississippi delta area.

This song is dedicated to the later works of Orson Welles.
