**** UPDATE: ****

I apologize profusely, but I have to raise the price of this record, which was previously available as a free/nyop type of deal. The reason for this is that I finally got around to looking into what it would actually cost me if any of the artists I covered here found out about this record's existence and came sniffing around for their money, and I'm afraid it would be a little expensive. According to my calculations, in order to compensate all artists with mechanical royalties for these songs, the cost is approximately 7.50 per complete album. The final cost is based on the 7.50, rounded up to 8.00 just to be on the safe side, with an extra 3.00 tacked on so I at least make some sort of profit here. Also, single-track downloads for this album have been disabled, because it would be a royal pain in the ass to figure out what I owe to whom if I sold it this way. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you picked up this album for free or at a lower price than what it is currently set at, however, then please enjoy.

**** SHQ ****

This album is an eclectic collection of cover songs, which was originally released in serial format via the Muffin Records Podcast (muffinCast) and on the Muffin Records website (therealmuffin.net).

Most of these songs are simply creative takes on songs I like by artists I like, with the possible exception of the Randy Travis song, which a friend of mine (who for some incomprehensible reason enjoys modern pop country) suggested I should record.

There is not intended to be any broad reaching concept here, nor are any of these songs related to each other. As I said, it is rather an eclectic collection of songs in many different genres, and most have been interpreted in a way that probably would never have occurred to the people who originally wrote them.
